The Selkirk History Faire is a unique re-enactment that celebrates the arrival in 1804 of a handful of Scottish families that would settle along the banks of the Snye River near modern day Wallaceburg.

The Faire depicts life in a frontier encampment from 1775-1840

You will see and experience the following:
  • voyager canoe and longboat activity
  • campfire cooking
  • Highland dancing
  • pioneer crafts
  • blacksmithing
  • pottery demonstation
  • traditional Scottish and Native displays
  • storytelling
  • Baldoon Witch
  • and much more....

 

         Lawn chairs are not permitted inside the encampment
